Tried and tested 4-piston technology from motorcycle racing and adapted for cycling, this disc brake set from Magura promises maximum braking power. Braking power combined with ergonomics results in a performance package that allows you to confidently tackle any trail and cross difficult terrain with relative ease. Of course, this disc brake set is also perfectly suited for s-pedelecs. Aluminium brake levers sit well in hands and allow for precision doses of braking power, even during longer braking phases. The use of the Carbotecture®technology in the brake lever housing gives the MT5 a lighter weight in addition to top braking performance.

Die MT5 Bremse ist in der Handhabung wirklich eine Wonne. Sagenhafte Bremswirkung, leichte Dosierung. Der Doppelkolben mit den magnetischen Bremsbelägen sind von der Handhabung sehr stark. Es gibt nur 2 Sterne, weil die Schelle aus Carbotecture nach der Zeit bricht und dann der Griff komplett gewechselt werden muss. Habe gerade den rechten Griff ersetzt und wollte den linken Griff wenig nachjustieren und schon beim geringsten Anzug bricht das Gewinde - wie bereits rechts - komplett aus.

Gewohnte Magura Qualität, als Ersatzteil immer zu gebrauchen. Ich würde für die Leute die mit einem Finger bremsen jedoch den ein Finger Hebel empfehlen den es nachzukaufen gibt dieser ist angenehmer und hochwertiger ...

die Bremse beißt wie der Teufel aber leider habe ich einen schwammigen Druckpunkt und muss bei schnellen harten DH Passagen pumpen...
Das ist aber nur bei einer Bremse der Fall, die andere Funktioniert perfekt?!

Wahrscheinlich hast du irgendwo noch eine kleine Luftblase, das ist in den allermeisten Fällen die Ursache für Probleme mit dem Druckpunkt.

Ich würde zunächst das Schnellentlüften nochmal probieren, und dann zur Not nochmal komplett. Anleitungen für beides findest du in unserem Blog:

Sind ziemlich Empfindlich was "zu fest" anziehen betrifft und der Leitungsabgang ist suboptimal.

Finde die Optik aber ganz nice.

Generell ist es gut, Bremsgriffe nicht allzu fest anzuziehen. Er sollte gerade so sitzen, dass er sich beim Sturz noch verdrehen kann und nicht zerstört wird.
