SILCA Ultimate Chain Stripper Wax Prep chain cleaner - degreaser and primer in one

The Ultimate Chain Stripper Wax Prep chain cleaner from SILCA frees the chain from grease residues and at the same time prepares it for treatment with chain wax. The whole process takes only about 10 minutes, replacing more elaborate procedures normally required to wax a brand new chain. Chain Stripper acts as both a degreaser and as a primer that improves wax adhesion to the chain.

Application:

Option 1:

When using SILCA Secret Chain Blend Hot Wax with a brand new chain:

1. Immerse the chain in the Chain Stripper and move it around for 30 seconds.
2. Wait 5 to 10 minutes and move again for 30 seconds.
3. Remove the chain from the Chain Stripper and rinse with water, then immediately drop it into the hot wax. The water boils away within minutes and the chain is completely waxed.

Option 2:

When using a chain wax to drip on with a new or almost new chain mounted on the bicycle:

1. Apply 1 drop of Chain Stripper to each roller of the chain while turning the crank against the direction of travel. Leave on for 5 minutes.
2. Turn the crank 10 turns against the direction of travel to distribute the Chain Stripper and then apply another 1 drop per roller and leave for another 5 minutes.
3. Rinse with clean water, turning the crank at least 10 turns against the direction of travel.
