Review: ASSOS tiburuGloves_evo7 full finger gloves

Riding with these ASSOS gloves keep your hands warm and comfortable even when temperatures aren’t that cold.

The tiburuGloves_evo7 are the perfect companion for cross country and road bikers looking for a full finger glove to protect their hands in a temperature range from 15° to 22° C. The inside is brushed for comfort and a little warmth and the entire gloves features no padding. Overall, they are great for protecting hands in colder winds and providing enough warmth for early spring rides.

Material and fit

The gloves are made of 85 % polyamide and 15 % elastane. They slip on well and conform to the shape of my hand when gripping the bars. My hands have a circumference of 21 mm around the knuckles, and I fit perfectly into an M, just like ASSOS suggested.

The ride

In cooler temperatures, the gloves keep my hands warm. They protect my fingers from cooling out from cold wind as well. Another plus, I never felt like my hands were to warm, and I never had the problem of overly sweaty palms.

When gripping the bars, the gloves wrinkle, but this isn’t noticeable while riding. The seams also don’t cause any problems and blisters never formed on my hands. The grip patches located on the thumb and index finger do a great job when I shift and brake, and the outer palm of the gloves also help to grip the bars.

Do they make sense?

For those who generally have cold hands like me, these gloves are a godsend. Having to choose between thick winter gloves, which are too warm, or summer gloves, which are too cool, is always a problem in spring time. The tiburuGloves_evo7 full finger gloves fill the gap perfectly.

The ASSOS tiburuGloves_evo7 is well thought out.

A well thought out glove.

Summary

I found the tiburu gloves to be a great option for early spring cycling. They do a great job at protecting my hands from cold wind and also stay cool enough to prevent sweating. The thumb and index finger patches make braking and shifting easy and the palm is super grippy. From now on, you will always see me wearing these gloves when the temperatures are on the cool side.
