The bottle MoFlo valve does not spill fluid when squeezing the bottle and requires suction to be applied. This is a hindrance in mtb use, as the lid is frequently covered in dirt. I am used to conveniently blasting a spray of water directly to my mouth through the large open vent of my fullface enduro helmet chin bar. With this bottle valve design, this is impossible. The Purist coating does what it says and there hasn’t been any detectable taste of plastic. Might be perfect for road cyclists but there are better alternatives for mtb use.
