Ratchet EXP:
The newly developed shape of the end caps with an integrated notch (groove) makes disassembly easier and makes maintenance even easier. The tool-free conversion of the freehub body allows conversion to all common axle and freehub body standards. Thus all DT Swiss Ratchet hubs can be converted to Ratchet EXP. The integration of toothed ratchets and threaded ring not only increases the service life, but also reduces the number of components. Because fewer components often mean less play in the overall system and less weight. The use of a single cylindrical spring ensures faster, complete engagement and thus offers greater reliability. The complete meshing of the pulleys creates a large contact surface and thus small point loads, resulting in superior robustness. Since the inner toothed lock washer is part of the threaded ring screwed into the hub, it was possible to obtain this as a bearing seat. This has increased the distance between the ball bearings and increased the rigidity of the hub by 15%.
