The Giro Merit hardshell helmet ensures maximum safety on mountain bike trails thanks to MIPS Spherical. In addition, the deeper helmet shell offers a particularly large protection zone. To make sure the helmet fits perfectly, simply adjust it with the Roc-Loc Air Trail system. At the same time, you benefit from targeted airflow through the 15 vents, which keeps your head at a pleasant temperature even during strenuous activity. Whether you prefer glasses or goggles is up to you. The Merit has both an integrated goggle holder and a zone at the back of the head that holds the goggle strap in place.

Technology:

Hard Shell Construction
The robust helmet outer shell is made of ABS composite, fibreglass or carbon. It is glued to the foamed EPS inner shell.

In-Mold Construction
The polycarbonate outer shell is glued to the EPS inner shell, which increases the resistance of the helmet. It also makes it easier to shape vents, which means that In-Mold designs typically have better ventilation systems and a lighter weight.

MIPS Spherical
This is the further development of the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System and has two movable protective layers. These can move in all directions and function similarly to a joint. The brain is thus protected against angular impact. The principle of the natural low-friction layer of the brain is adapted in order to minimise the forces that occur.

Roc Loc Air Trail
The large control dial can be operated even when wearing gloves. The ventilation system inside the helmet provides a pleasant amount of air circulation. The airstream flows over an air cushion between the head and the helmet shell and cools the head.

Wind Tunnel Ventilation
Internal ventilation channels and vents direct cool air around the head and expel excess heat.
