Sophisticated sleeve technology: The UBB4630 Bottom Bracket by Rotor

The UBB4630 for the press fit 30 bearing standard uses a threaded sleeve to connect both bearing cups. This connection reduces stresses that usually act on the press-fit sleeves. Dimensional tolerances of the bottom bracket shells can be compensated for, resulting in better parallelism of the bearings and thus better smooth running of the crank movement and less noise. The outer bearing cups additionally increase the stiffness. The better fit of the bearing/sleeve unit saves the bearings from overload and improves their longevity. The inner sleeve also protects against cable damage or damage to the electronics, as no friction with rotating parts can occur.
