Shimano SLX SL-M7100 Mono shifter- shifting the front like lever before

The Shimano SLX SL-M7100 2x shifter (clamp version) is based on the Rapidfire Plus Mono technology. You can use it to control the front derailleur in both directions. By pressing the lever you shift to the large chainring, with another press of the lever you release the lock and shift back. The SL-M7100 Mono offers unprecedented shifting comfort.

Rapidfire Plus Mono
Shimano Rapidfire Plus Mono shift levers are only available for the left side, because they shift the front derailleur. In contrast to regular Rapidfire Plus models, only one lever is installed here, which is used for both upshifting and downshifting. This is practical and accommodates natural finger positions. You change the chainring comfortably while keeping a firm grip on the handlebars and concentrating on the ride.

2-Way-Release
With 2-Way-Release, the shifter can be pressed and pulled to shift to the smaller sprocket or chainring. This allows you to adjust the shifting process to your personal preferences. Most Rapidfire Plus shifters are equipped with 2-Way Release.
