As additional puncture protection, a BlackBelt has been incorporated, which of course does not affect the speed of the tyre.

GRIPTON is an exclusive rubber compound for Specialized tyres, based on synthetic rubber and an activated silica compound. It was designed to filter out low and high frequencies. As the name suggests, this compound provides an outstanding amount of traction and handling in all weather conditions, but this is not its only advantage. It also dampens vibrations, rolls very well and saves weight. GRIPTON tyres are manufactured and tested in a factory operated by Specialized in Vietnam.
