The Service Course SL-70 XPLR handlebars by Zipp - comfort and control for Gravel adventures
The Zipp Service Course SL-70 XPLR handlebars are dropbars optimised for Gravel. Compared to the Service Course 70 XPLR it is lighter and also available in a narrow 40 mm version. True to its name - " XPLR" stands for " Explore" - it helps you to discover the world in an ergonomic and highly comfortable way and to take new paths off of paved roads.
The Service Course SL-70 XPLR has an outsweep, i.e. an outward rotation of the handlebar ends, of 11 degrees and a flare, i.e. an inclination of the drops, of 5 degrees. The proven 70 mm reach is used, but the drop was deliberately designed to be flatter at 115 mm. These are values that Zipp engineers have proven to be ideal for riding on mixed surfaces - gravel, dirt, mud, concrete - whether for one hour and a few kilometres or for 12 hours and 200 kilometres.
This special handlebar design described above helps you to achieve a neutral, relaxed posture when sitting upright with your hands on the hoods and a wide, stable position when reaching into the drops to master technically difficult passages. In addition, there is an extended clamping area on top, which is intended for mounting computers and other accessories.
