Deda HSS headset expander – reusable expander for 1 1/8 inch steerer tubes
The Deda HSS headset expander is designed to preload the headset on sensitive aluminium and carbon forks. It is inserted into the steerer tube instead of a traditional star nut and is suitable for 1 1/8 inch steerer tubes with an inner diameter from 23.5 to 25.5 mm.
The long sleeve provides a large clamping surface inside the steerer tube and supports secure, even tightening. The expander is reusable and made from 6061 aluminium, while the bolt is made from 2014 aluminium. With a length of 68.8 mm, it is especially suitable for modern carbon and aluminium forks.
