The HXC 1501 SPLINE One wheelset from DT Swiss is suitable for 27.5" E-MTBs that are also used for competition. They have a 30 mm jaw width, allowing you to ride wide tyres and low air pressures for maximum traction. At its heart is the 240-HYBRID boost hub for center lock brake rotors, which is firmly connected to the hookless carbon rim with straight pull spokes and bonded Pro-Lock nipples. The Ratchet-EXP-OS system ensures a rigid connection between the weight-optimised hub body and the freewheel. Thanks to its 30 teeth, the pressure angle is only 12°, which leads to optimised power transfer and immediate propulsion. In addition, the large ball bearings easily absorb the higher forces that usually occur on electric mountain bikes. This increases the service life of bearings, axles, hub bodies and freehub bodies.

Suitable for use in very rough terrain with jumps of up to approx. 120 cm in height and speeds of up to 40 km/h. Very good riding technique is required. The components must be checked for damage after each ride.

HYBRID
To cope with the higher loads on e-bikes, the hubs, as the heart of the wheel, have a higher wall thickness and larger housings than usual hubs. The spoke holes have been additionally reinforced. The freehub rotor is made from steel and is equipped with 24-tooth ratchets, which are made from special hardened steel. Heavy-duty axles and oversized hubs allow the wheels to work while bearing high loads. The rims have thicker rim walls and offer plenty of traction. The connecting element between rim and hub, the spokes, have reinforced spoke heads and are made of special steel alloys in order to withstand stronger external forces.

Pro Lock
The nipple thread is coated with two-component adhesive to increase the durability of the wheels. It can still be re-trued several times without any problems, but the adhesive strength decreases slightly. The connection between the spoke and nipple cannot loosen by itself.

Ratchet EXP OS
The Ratchet EXP OS freehub guarantees extremely high stiffness and low weight. This is achieved by an oversized ball bearing that directly surrounds the ratchet and is thus not located in the freewheel body but in the hub body. This means that the axle and bearing have less play, which extends the service life of both. The resulting tight connection between the sprocket and the hub body allows the use of a fixed spring to let the freewheel body to engage the sprocket precisely and at the correct angle. The 30 teeth ensure a small pressure angle, which favours optimised power transfer. This is especially advantageous for E-MTBs, as particularly high forces act on hubs and the entire drive system.

SPLINE
Straight pull hubs, straight spokes and strong rims result in a durable wheel. It can therefore be reliably used in training and competition.
