This compound is optimal from all-mountain to downhill: more grip, good damping characteristics, long life, low rolling resistance. And no lug breakage - a success exclusive to Maxxis MaxxPro technology.

Dual Ply Casing
In Maxxis Downhill tyres, two plies of fabric are combined and wrapped around the bead cores. The finished carcass then has four layers on the sidewalls and six layers under the tread.

fahre ihn seit 3 Jahren vorne auf einem "Nulli" MTB nishiki alien von ca. 1995. Hinten: Continental X-King ProTection 26".
Wegen der engen Gabel musste ich über eine sehr praktische Vermessungswert-Tabelle in einem Forum Reifen mit passenden Dimensionen suchen und habe mich, dann auch aufgrund anderer Bewertungen, für diesen entschieden.

+ viel Grip bei Staub, Nässe, Frost (auf trockener staubreier Bahn vielleicht etwas zu viel)
+ Weiche Michung, trotzdem wenig Abrieb,
+ bei entsprechendem Luftdruck kann man über den mittleren Stollenring auch Geschwindigkeit erreichen,
+ sehr guter Geradeauslauf
- nimmt im Wald gerne auch mal Blätter oder ähnliches mit, dass sich dann kurze Zeit geräuschvoll zwischen enger Gabel, Schutzblech und Reifen verfängt, aber irgendwann wieder vrschwindet.

Bin sehr zufriden, wir wohl auch als ausgesprochenes Vorderad beworben.
