It's all in the mix: the Minion DHR II SuperTacky / MaxxPro by Maxxis

With its all-new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tyre for aggressive gravity riding. With the side lugs of the legendary Minion DHR widened slightly for even better cornering grip. The centre lugs have bevelled cleats for better acceleration. Notches on the studs improve transition when turning in curves. Part of the center lugs have a paddle shape, which dig in when braking hard and help to keep the bike under control.
This set includes two Minion DHR II tyres with different compounds.
The extremely grippy SuperTacky Compound is particularly suited for use on the front wheel, while the MaxxPro Compound is best ridden on the rear wheel due to its equally good grip, good damping properties, long service life and low rolling resistance.

The SuperTacky tread is the reference for grip and performance in Freeride and Downhill tyres, in short the basis of the most successful DH tyres in the world. It consists of a base compound and the SuperTacky mixture, which is extremely grippy under all ground conditions.

MaxxPro
The MaxxPro Compound is the first tyre compound for bicycle tyres in which the components have been ground extremely finely. This compound is optimal from all mountain to downhill: more grip, good damping characteristics, long life, low rolling resistance. And no lug breakage - a success exclusive to Maxxis MaxPro technology.

Dual Ply Casing
Two fabric layers are combined and wrapped around the bead cores. The finished carcass then has four layers on the sidewalls and even 6 layers under the tread.
