TL;DR Nice jacket, but do not use backpack with it!

Nice jacket but poor quality. I really liked the jacket. It is a good fit, looks great, light and comfortable. I was using it as outer layer for running & cycling during winter with fleece under it. It vaporize moisture much better compared to other similar style jackets I've tried. Everything is nice but... robustness.

Just after putting backpack for a few times the back of jacket started to rip off. The place where backpack was touching my back was crumpled and damaged. Probably by mesh of backpack. I have used jacket for couple of months only, and took a backpack on it just for a few times. That was enough to damage it. The Marmot PreCip jacked I've owned wasn't damaged by the same backpack even after 3-4 years. No mark there. I have checked Patagonia site if there were any warnings what item is so fragile and backpacks should be avoided but haven't found anything mentioned. If I pay such amount of money for an item, I tend to use & abuse it and expect the amount money to pay off. It is a shame I barely had a chance to use it.

Despite that I own few other Patagonia items which I'm happy about. I have returned item to Bike Components and they agreed to refund me without any questions (still waiting for transfer though). But I'm happy with service.
