The DM 3-Bolt Chainring by Praxis Works with Wave Tech and 0 mm Offset

This Praxis Works Direct Mount chainring for 3-Bolt mount has an offset of 0 mm, so it is compatible with a chainline of 55 mm. It's made from machined 7075-T6 aluminium and hard-anodised to be tough enough for enduro and downhill applications, yet light enough for cross-country riding. The chainring comes with the unique Wave™ tooth profile pattern, which actively binds each individual chain link to the chain via alternating lateral forces - unlike conventional narrow-width technologies, which only work with friction. At the same time, this design increases its dirt, mud and debris repellent properties. Wave Tech also reduces wear on the chainring by optimally distributing loads.

Wave™ Tech 1x
The Wave tooth profile applies the lateral force alternately from right and left to the chain links in order to actively hold the chain in place. The teeth are positioned alternately further to the right or further to the left of the chainring centre and the characteristic wave movement is created when the chainring is viewed from above while the crank is turning. This design opens up larger areas for dirt and mud cleaning and prevents chain dropping in difficult conditions. Wave results in much less wear than comparable designs and distributes the load over a larger area.
