Air suspension built right in: the Big Apple Wired Tyre by Schwalbe

The trend towards the balloon bike began in 2001 with the Big Apple: comfortable cycling without any complicated technology! The air cushion of the tyres acts as a natural form of suspension. With approx. 2 bar, a Balloonbike rolls wonderfully easily and with full suspension effect. A normal tyre with a width of 37 mm has to be inflated hard as nails at 4 bars to roll similarly well.

E-Bike Ready 25
For normal pedelecs with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, the law does not prescribe any special tyres. But even with these bikes, loads and average speeds are higher than with normal bikes, so Schwalbe recommends only certain tyres as " E-Bike ready 25" (all Marathons, all Energizers, Big Apple, Big Ben, Smart Sam Plus).

Excellent pneu, durée de vie de près de 5000 km avec un VAE à usage citadin et chemin blanc occasionnel, bonne adhérence. Je ne changerai pas de référence.

Rollen superleicht und haben eine hervorragende Dämpfung bei 50mm, was mir wichtig war. So kann man in der Stadt bequem und schnell auch über schlechte Radwege.

Gutes Volumen, aber etwas schmaller als andere Schwalbe 2.35in Reifen(Vergleich Hans Dampf u. Nobby Nic 2.35in), echt passabler Grip auf der Straße und am trockenen Singletrack(natürlich ohne größere Mengen an Schotter). Matsch...bitte nein. Auf Schnee die gleiche Geschichte, da hab ich Probleme auf die kleinsten Hügel zu kommen. Der Gummi ist klar außerhalb seiner Betriebstemperatur. Auf der Straße fängt er langsam an wegzuschmieren wenn man ihn an die Grenzen stößt. Kein abrupter Verlust von Traktion. Bei 24psi vorne 28psi hinten(wiege 75kg und das rigid-bike 10kg) dämpft es Kopfsteinpflaster auf ein Minimum.
Meiner Meinung nach, der perfekte City/Roadreifen mit hohem Volumen, sehr hoher Laufleistung und ausreichendem Grip für den Abstecher offroad.
Sicher, recht schwer mit ca 900g/Stück(Raceguard version), aber vergleichsweise mit dem Marathon oder anderen "heavy-duty" Reifen mit Smart Guard oder dem Plus Label, akzeptabel
Preislich echt in Ordnung
