Shimano CS-S500 sprocket for Alfine - with integrated chain guard

The Shimano CS-S500 sprocket is an accessory for Alfine 8-speed and 11-speed internally geared hubs when used in combination with vertical dropouts, the CT-S500 chain tensioner and the FC-S501 crank with double chain guard. It can also be used on certain e-bike drivetrains with internally geared hubs. The sprocket is available with 18 and 20 teeth and comes with a special chain guard ring. It is made of steel and is 2 mm thick. Its optimised tooth profile prevents the chain from falling off.
