I am using these for my MTB. In dry conditions the pads/shoes last long, no problem here.
In wet weather, when the rims become wet/muddy the shoes wear really, really fast. They are completely gone after three rides in the rain...
Good thing (I guess) would be that it is the brake-shoe wearing, and not the aluminum rim.
