Specialized S-Works Turbo 28" folding tyre with T2 and T5 rubber compound and BlackBelt
The S-Works Turbo is a road tyre for competition use on asphalt or cobblestones, which must be ridden with an inner tube. The combination of GRIPTON® T2 rubber compound on the tread and GRIPTON T5 on the shoulders makes it fast, efficient, grippy and durable at the same time. This way you save valuable watts when it counts. The tyre has a supple 120 tpi casing and has been equipped with a revised BlackBelt protection strip. This shields it from punctures while adding a negligible amount of weight.

It is a road compound that rolls very quickly and is highly efficient. The focus is on speed, low drag and energy savings. T stands for " Tread Compound" and the number 2 indicates, on a scale of 1 to 10 (with the extremes 1 and 10 not existing), the degree of damping and traction, which is in the lower range in this case.
GRIPTON® T5
GRIPTON T5 is a variation of the Specialized proven GRIPTON rubber compound based on synthetic rubber and an activated silica compound. This is a cross-country compound that rolls fast, is very durable and offers good traction. The focus is on speed, agility and puncture protection. T stands for " Tread Compound" and the number 5 indicates on a scale of 1 to 10 (the extremes 1 and 10 do not exist) the degree of damping and traction, which falls in the middle range here.
