The SmartGauge D2 from Topeak is a digital air pressure gauge to determine tire, fork and shock pressure. The pressure release button allows the air pressure to be precisely adjusted. The SmartHead™ fits both Presta and Schrader valves.

Very useful tool for measuring pressure on the bike but also in the car, easy switching of the valve type.

Works perfectly to me
You have to inflate the tyre a bit more than it should be. Then you can use this device releasing the extra air with the button adjusting the pressure to required value. Seems to be very precise.
The air lose is very minor if you do it properly.
