iXS Trigger FF MIPS Helmet

With the MIPS version, iXS has made its Trigger FF full-face MTB helmet even safer. The side and chin bar areas are reinforced with the iXS X-Frame, which adds further stability. Together with the MIPS protection layer, your entire head is protected even in harder falls.

Technology:
Double In-Mould:
The polycarbonate outer shell is glued to the EPS inner shell, which increases the resistance of the helmet. Ventilation openings can also be shaped more easily, which means that helmets with In-Mould construction generally have better ventilation systems. Helmets built with the Double In-Mould process have a second polycarbonate shell that protects the lower edge areas from damage.
ErgoFit Ultra™:
The ErgoFit Ultra system allows the headband to be adjusted both vertically and horizontally. This allows the helmet to be individually adapted to fit any head shape. In addition, the width of the headband can be changed at any time via a turn dial at the back of the head.
Fidlock:
The Fidlock closure system combines mechanical closures with magnets. The buckle is brought together by magnets and remains mechanically closed. The closure can be opened easily with just one hand and even while wearing gloves.
MIPS:
MIPS stands for "Multi Directional Impact Protection System," and describes a movable protective layer. It protects the brain from an oblique impact. The principle of the natural low-friction layer of the brain is adapted in order to minimise the forces that occur.
Vortex™:
Inside the helmet are several large ventilation channels. These are arranged and shaped to direct as much air around the head as possible. Wide openings at the back of the head allow heated air to escape to the outside. This creates a cooling effect.
X-Frame:
A reinforcement frame is embedded in the EPS foam in the chin bar, which extends into the sides of the helmet. This significantly increases the stability of the helmet at the critical connection point between the helmet shell and the chin bar. This provides further protection for the jaw and face in case of falls.
