For retro and cyclocross: the Shorty Ultimate Cantilever Brake by Avid

Many details, especially the lightweight materials used, make the Avid cantilever brakes unmistakable. They work so well that you can enjoy every meter of trail and don't have to think about the brakes. The trail is the challenge, not the equipment.

The Shorty Ultimate is optionally available as a wide front wheel or short rear wheel version. The wide brake arm setting of the front version allows greater tyre clearance. The tight rear brake arm setting, on the other hand, produces a better braking force effect.
