The lightweight, ergonomic and very streamlined Aero Carbon handlebar stem unit from Black Inc is also available with pre-installed aerobars. It equips your Factor OSTRO V.A.M. with a cockpit that excels in speed, versatility and comfort in equal measure, be it for gravel racing, bikepacking or triathlon. The aerobars are the same than the ones mounted on the quick-as-lightning Hanzo TT Bike and can be easily removed if you want to switch to a standard set-up. The comfortable arm shells and aerodynamically optimised extensions help you achieve the most effective riding position over long distances. The extensions can be shortened at both ends and the inclination of the armrests is adjustable to meet your individual requirements.
The handlebar stem unit itself has a flattened top bar that cuts through the airstream and also offers you a wide palm rest. Even if you use it without aerobars, you have the option of adopting many different hand and sitting positions or a crouched aero position to be as efficient as possible on the road. The mounting position for the shift/brake levers brings you about 5 mm closer to your bike than is the case with conventional handlebars. The lower link with 7° flare offers you a lot of safety and control, not only on gravel sections. The internal cable routing, which is optimal for aerodynamics, also allows for a tidy cockpit. Below the handlebar stem unit is a mounting option for attaching bike computers or other accessories such as lights or GoPros.
