In the 1990s, Blackheart founder Zach Lambert transitioned from BMX racing to mountain biking, and a little later discovered road and gravel bikes.
With a boutique in Venice, California, and headquarters in Truckee, CA, not far from Lake Tahoe, Blackheart Bike Co. is dedicated to building dropbar bikes for purists – crafted from titanium and aluminum, strikingly beautiful, minimalist in design, and perfectly balanced. The range spans from World Tour–level race machines to endurance geometry and performance gravel bikes – all equally stunning, fully integrated, minimalist, durable, and lightning fast.

The BlackHeart barstem is designed specifically for BlackHeart bikes. BlackHeart does not develop solutions for other brands, does not produce adapters, and does not test the barstem on non-BlackHeart frames.
The upper headset bearing, spacer system, and top cap are based on the FSA ACR standard, with a 1.5" bearing, 52.1 mm inner diameter, and an 8.7 mm ream depth.
