As hand sizes considerably vary depending on the person, Ergon's grips from the GP and GS series are standardly available in two sizes, small and large. The size difference refers to the grip circumference. This means that a larger hand will fit better on a thicker grip. Likewise, a small hand has a better grab on a thinner grip. These differences have a direct impact on the handling of the bike as a whole.

Wenn es nicht diese Gummis als Ersatz gäbe, hätte ich nie wieder Ergon gekauft. Bei den sündteuren Griffen war bei mir innerhalb von einer Saison das Gummi matschig-klebrig geworden und hat klebrige Rückstände an den Händen hinterlassen. Natürlich steht mein Stadtrad auch mal in der Sonne/im Regen/draußen, natürlich fahre ich für den Stadtverkehr meist ohne Handschuhe - das kann man als Griffhersteller wohl erwarten. Scheinbar wird einem aber geraten, das Rad nie der Sonne auszusetzen, immer Handschuhe zu tragen und die Griffe möglichst oft mit Seifenwasser zu reinigen. Mein Stadtrad ist ein Gebrauchsrad, kein Baby! Wenigstens konnte ich jetzt für nicht allzu viel Geld die Griffkörper wechseln. Warum die ganzen Griffe mit Metallklemmen nochmal mehr als 100 % Aufschlag kosten, ist mir ein Rätsel. Anzumerken bleibt, dass auch die neuen Gummigriffe schon nach wenigen Monaten wieder klebrig werden... die nächsten Griffe werden also keine Ergons mehr, schade. Der Greifkomfort war ansonsten - mit den neuen, noch nicht klebrigen Griffen - sehr gut.
