We now offer the OSTRO V.A.M. road bike frame kit by Factor including a complete Shimano Ultegra Di2 2x12-speed groupset with disc brakes and WH-R8170-C50-TL wheelset. The Ultegra R8150 was one of the first electronic Shimano groupsets without STI wiring. It was designed for speed and performance, but also for the timeless nature and community experience on the road bike. The shifters and rear derailleur communicate wirelessly with each other. Cables are only used between the battery and the rear derailleur or front derailleur. The wireless protocol is extremely fast and reliable, which raises the shifting speed to a new level.
The Shimano WH-R8170 wheelset has 50 mm high carbon rims. Its steel pawl freehub is compatible not only with 12-speed but also with 11-speed cassettes. The model scores with a lot of aerodynamics, tubeless compatibility and stiffness at a pleasantly low weight. The rims have a jaw width of 21 mm for tyres up to 32 mm wide and feature the wind tunnel-tested D2 design.

The OSTRO V.A.M. frameset by Factor gives you the opportunity to build an ultra-light , aerodynamic carbon road bike. The fork, frame and seatpost have been optimised to create a streamlined design. The lightweight framekit impresses with outstanding stiffness thanks to the use of TeXtreme carbon fibres. TeXtreme consists of very flat fibres that can be laid wide, which results in very little material being used. These fibres are supported by pitch-based carbon fibres. The tyre clearance measures 32 mm, and the specially-designed fork can accommodate tyres up to 32 mm wide, both of which make mounting wider, more comfortable tyres easy and stress-free. A high-end headset and bottom bracket from CeramicSpeed deliver lower friction loss while riding, and thanks to the streamlined handlebar stem unit from Black Inc, this frameset can truly live up to its "speedy" name (OSTRO is the name of a wind that blows through the Mediterranean). Handlebar tape and a training computer mount are also included.
