Giro Spherical helmets protect your head from both external and internal injury: thanks to Spherical Technology developed in partnership with MIPS, rotational forces that occur during head collisions are absorbed by the helmet and significantly diminished, which demonstrably reduces brain injuries in bike accidents. For the Spherical System, the hard shell of the helmet was constructed in two parts. These two shells, made of EPS foam of different densities, are connected by a so-called ball-and-socket design and can slide against each other. In the event of an impact, the outer part of the helmet shell twists to a certain degree against the inner part, thus slowing down rotational forces. This means that your head is protected in the best possible way in case of an emergency.
