Light and versatile for track, training or competition: the Mavic Ellipse wheelset

For recreational track cycling or training for the toughest races, the Ellipse is the first choice. It is based on 30 mm deep, welded aluminium rims with first-class aerodynamics and high stability. The hub flanges have large spacing to provide maximum stiffness. Solid industrial bearings and strong, straight aero spokes create a stable connection between rim and hub. At the back there are 2 threads to allow 2 different sprockets to be used on one wheel and to make gear changes faster, which makes training easier. The design for user-friendly clincher tyres also contributes to this.

Soudé Usiné Process. The rim joint is welded and then machined to produce a smooth surface. A welded rim joint is more durable and facilitates the lacing and truing of a perfect wheel.
