Exact Actuation
For the first introduction of its road bike technologies, SRAM has once again used the proven SRAM MTB 1:1 gear ratio for 10-speed shifting (shifter cable travel : derailleur movement). Exact Actuation helps to achieve a simpler and more stable balance between the design of the rear derailleur suspension, tight cog spacing and exact cable tension. The result: a shifting system that is child's play to operate.

Roller Bearing Clutch
In the new X0 and X9 series rear derailleurs, Roller Bearing Clutch Technology ensures that the cage can build tension. A needle bearing prevents any light forward movements, the chain remains under tension and does not hit the strut. This prevents the chain from jumping off even without a chain guide on the crankset.

Cage Lock
Due to the Cage Lock Technology in the rear derailleur, removing and fitting the rear wheel and chain is quicker and easier than ever before. Simply push the cage forward (to release the chain tension) and lock it.

Direct Route Technology
Roundabout cable routing is one thing above all: unnecessary. That is why Direct Route Technology does without it. Instead, the cable is routed directly to the front derailleur. The result: less friction, less effort, more power. On top of that, direct cable routing is less susceptible to damage to the cable housing. Not bad, right?
