Shimano disc brake adapter for 180 mm rotors - adapts fork and frame to the brake

The Shimano disc brake adapter for 180 mm brake rotors adapts different standards of brake calipers and frames or forks. This allows IS brake calipers to be operated on post mount forks and vice versa. There are also versions to adapt IS forks, which only allow the direct mount of 160 mm brake rotors, and IS frames, which are designed for 140 mm brake rotors, to a 180 mm rotors. The same is also true for post mount: Here the difference between 160 mm (direct mount) and 180 mm is bridged. The flat mount versions are intended exclusively for frames or forks that are designed for 160 mm and 180 mm brake rotors. The scope of delivery varies from version to version.
