Shimano SL-MT500-IL remote lever with clamp - dropper post control

The SL-MT500-L remote lever by Shimano is suitable for dropper posts which use a cable and have a cable clamp on the lever. It is mounted with a clamp on the left side of the handlebars, where 1x riders still have space due to the unnecessary shifter. A cable and an OT-SP41 cable housing are included with the remote lever.

As a bike mechanic who has seen horrific(and more expensive remotes) this is the absolute best bang for buck dropper remote on the market.
Pro:
-it includes everything you need (cable and housing)
-the cable is securely clamped using a beffy screw
-the padle has a nice grippy surface despite being hard plastic

Con
-no bearing ; just a bushing
- pivot not servicable

Its about what you can expect at this price point. The lever is smaller then expected, operates smoothly. The cable-end clamping solution is functional but doesn't look very nice.
