The 303 Firecrest road bike wheelset from Zipp impresses with a modern design that matches the Force groupsets from SRAM. From a technical point of view, it has all the advantages of the standard edition, from the 25 mm wide and 40 mm deep, hookless carbon rim, which is of course tubeless-compatible, to the ZR1 Center Lock Disc hub set, which scores points for durability and transmission efficiency. The 303 Firecrest wheels have been designed to minimise wind and rolling resistance and help you to enjoy a comfortable, energy-saving ride on a variety of surfaces.

The Firecrest 303 Tubeless Disc is approved for the use with tubeless and Tubeless Ready tyres only, due to the hookless rims. Please make sure that the tyre manufacturer's approval is given for hookless rims. An inner tube can be used with a tubeless/tubeless-ready tyre which is compatible with hookless rims. Follow the installation recommendations of the tyre manufacturer.

Through the pioneering use of software to analyse numerical fluid mechanics and the power of a supercomputer, Zipp is able to understand exactly what makes wheels go fast. Zipp then tests the most promising rim shapes in the wind tunnel and on the road. This process led to the creation of Firecrest rim technology, which allows the wheel's airflow and centre of gravity to be controlled more effectively, resulting in better aerodynamics, better handling in crosswinds and an overall better cycling experience.

ABLC SawTooth
This patented rim shape achieves what conventional aero wheels cannot: it simultaneously reduces aerodynamic drag and lateral wind forces, providing the ultimate AeroBalance. In addition, the ABLC recesses ensure improved air flow. The result is lower aerodynamic drag and reduced lateral wind forces at any angle of attack. This is important because the steeper the wind angle, the larger the influence on the handling of the bike.
