If you are looking for a versatile, reliable frame with generous tyre clearance for your gravel bike, the bc original Flint is the perfect companion. The frame's design is classic and minimalist, but incorporates current developments in gravel biking. A 70° head tube angle helps make difficult descents more manageable. In addition, toe-overlap, i.e. contact between the tip of the foot and the front wheel when turning, no longer occurs even with thick tyres and mudguards. Thanks to a BB drop of 55 mm, unpleasant pedal contact on blocked, rooted terrain is avoided. When combined with wide profiled tyres, the bike is able to maintain a high level of liveliness - in other words, the Flint is a real wild ride!
Speaking of wide tyres: unlike the first generation of gravel bikes, which stopped at just 40 mm of tyre width, this frameset can handle 28" tyres up to 45 mm in width. This means that both short and long distances can be covered comfortably even across coarse gravel, especially since the high-quality aluminium chassis gives you a combination of direct propulsion with a lot of fun. You can even set the Flint up as a commuter bike thanks to the fender and luggage rack mounts. Cane Creek headset, BSA bottom bracket, external cables and wires and the seat clamp with integrated dust cover make this frameset a reliable and easy-to-maintain companion. By the way, the name "Flint" is an allusion to the flint that used to be mined from the Lousberg, a small mountain in Aachen, Germany.
