Neodymium replacement magnets for magped magnetic pedals are available with different pull forces. Depending on the selected magnetic strength, the shoe is held magnetically on the pedal with a tensile force of up to 20 kg. The traction force is mainly vertical and a lateral release from the pedal is possible with almost no noticeable resistance. However, shoes can quick and easy detach in critical situations in an upward direction.
