With 26 km of racetrack, 92 curves and 560 metres elevation, the Nürburgring, aka the Green Hell, demands a lot from the participants of Rad am Ring. Here solo competitors and team cyclists have different requirements in terms of clothing. While a solo competitor prioritizes comfort to endure 24 hours in the saddle, a team cyclist does everything to keep their lap time as low as possible. However, one thing does apply to both riders: the Eifel region (or rather the weather there) is unpredictable, as the history of Rad am Ring has shown over the last few years.
