Tesa 4600 is a self-sealing silicone tape without adhesive, which is bonded to its own backing. Due to the flexible material, it adapts excellently to different surfaces and ensures an immediate, hermetic seal. This product also demonstrates reliable application results outdoors on oily, dirty or wet surfaces. The tape can also be used for temporary bonding and can be removed without leaving any residue. Application under water is also possible. Due to the silicone tape's material, it has excellent resistance to various chemicals, oils, acids, solvents, salt water, UV radiation and high temperatures.

Good for fixing things together, since it sticks to itself. It has no adhesive, so it is not messy.
Not as good for frame protection. I would not use it for making chain slap protector, there are better options (mastic m3, slapper tape...)
