This Fox Racing Shox SLS (Super Light Steel) spring weighs less than a titanium spring and is suitable for compatible shocks with a stroke of 57.5 to 65 mm. The spring itself has a stroke of 67 mm, which must always be greater than the shock's stroke. A specially developed surface treatment and manufacturing process reduce internal stresses in the spring, allowing it to withstand higher loads than standard steel springs. The relatively thin material and lower number of coils further contribute to its weight reduction.
