Magura's definition of trail braking performance at an affordable price - 4 pistons in the front for maximum braking power, 2 pistons in the rear for perfect dosing. The ergonomics of the shorter 1-finger HC lever allows for full braking power with one finger.
The MT Trail Sport is your introduction to 100% trail performance, and demonstrates that the proven 4/2 piston concept doesn't have to be expensive. High-quality components such as the Carbotecture® brake lever and the 4/2 concept ensure weight reduction, but without sacrificing reliability.
New material developed by Magura consisting of a high proportion of carbon fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix. More powerful, more tensile, more flexible and more break-resistant than conventional, fibre-reinforced plastics or laminated carbon fibre mats. Ideally suited for manufacturing using the Carboflow® process. An artificial word composed of carbon and architecture.
HCT (Hard Core Tech):
Under the HCT program, which at Magura stands for Hard Core Tech and has its origin in Magura Powersport, Magura combines all developments and special detail improvements that are developed for racing or the highest demands. Now Magura brings HCT to the mountain bike.
The HC brake lever for MT disc brakes was specially developed for retrofitting to optimise ergonomic performance. The ergonomics of the shorter HC aluminium lever allows full braking power - safely with one finger. The design and new ergonomics of the 12 mm-shorter HC lever also incorporated feedback and experience from Danny MacAskill.
At the same weight as standard 2-finger aluminium levers, the HC technology version improves ergonomics noticeably.
The new brake lever is retrofittable for all Magura MT disc brakes MT6/MT7/MT Trail (possibly MT8) from model year 2015.
