Since 1996, Rotwild has stood for e-bikes and e-MTBs from Germany. Developed by ADP Engineering, the brand is aimed at riders who want more off-road than just motor support. The R.X series is designed for touring and range, while the R.EX is built for trail and enduro use. If you are looking for a Rotwild e-bike, you will find selected models here with carbon frames, DJI Avinox drive systems and a clear focus on technical trails and tough climbs in alpine and rugged terrain.

Rotwild models at a glance

Rotwild R.EXC

The R.EXC is the range for riders who do not want to take enduro easy. It is clearly built for racing, demanding trails and speed on the descents. Rotwild positions the R.EXC close to motorsport, with Elevated Box Design, Mid-High Pivot suspension and plenty of reserves for steep, rough descents. The current model also features the powerful DJI drive system.

Rotwild R.EX

The R.EX suits riders looking for a powerful e-MTB for a wide range of uses. It is not as sharply focused as the R.EXC, but more versatile, from local trails to alpine tours with enduro character. The range is based on the R.EXC platform but adapted as an all-mountain model. Key features include 160/150 mm of travel, Mid-High Pivot suspension, Elevated Box Design and, on the current R.EX PRO, the DJI Avinox M1 with 105 Nm and an 864 Wh battery.

Rotwild R.X290

The R.X290 is the right line for riders looking for a lightweight e-MTB and who still want to do a lot of the work themselves. Support is intentionally more measured here, with a ride feel closer to a classic mountain bike. Rotwild refers to this as the Athletic concept. It has the TQ HPR60, a 290 Wh battery, an optional range extender, 140/120 mm of travel and a weight of 16.7 kg for the PRO. The text should therefore clearly point toward light weight, direct handling and trail-oriented performance.

Rotwild R.R290 X

The R.R290 X is aimed at riders who want to move fast on gravel but do not want to be limited to the road. The range combines gravel performance with motor support without feeling like a heavy e-bike. Rotwild describes the model as a sporty gravel bike with plenty of off-road capability. It has the TQ HPR50, a 252 Wh battery, an optional range extender and tire clearance up to 700x50C. This makes it the right choice for fast mixed-surface rides, long gravel days and sporty commuting with ambitions.
