The Rohloff Special Chain Lubricant has been developed in co-operation with a leading German manufacturer especially for the bicycle chain and the automatic chain lubrication system Rohloff Lubmatic.
Furthermore, the Rohloff Special Chain Lubricant is biodegradable and totally harmless to water. In order to test its ability of degradation, the lubricant is mixed with sewage plant germs and then one counts the percentage of lubricant which has been degraded after 21 days. Around 90% of the lubricant were degraded after this period of time and the rest only some days later.
It is based on a synthetic oil and special DCS-additives which guarantee:
- high resistance to pressure
- maximum lubrication capacity
- water-repulsion
- rust prevention
