The electronic Red E1 AXS front derailleur from SRAM for 2x road bike drivetrains

SRAM has improved the design of the Red E1 AXS 2x front derailleur and further refined the cage shape. This results in precise, smooth and direct gear changes, without any wiring. Yaw technology with automatic trim eliminates the need for manual fine adjustments. Thanks to the AXS connection, your drivetrain can be conveniently connected and personalised via a smartphone app.

Technology:

eTap
SRAM's eTap is a simple, unambiguous and intuitive shifting logic. With the shift lever on the left-hand side you move the rear derailleur inwards to a larger sprocket, with the shift lever on the right-hand side you move the derailleur outwards to a smaller sprocket. With the shift lever pressed down, you can directly shift several gears. Pressing both shift levers at the same time causes a front derailleur movement in 2x shifting systems.

AXS
AXS is SRAM's electronic integration platform that combines electronic bicycle components and software. The SRAM AXS app allows you to view battery status, change component behaviour, adjust controls, receive maintenance reminders and update firmware.

Yaw
The Yaw technology allows trim-free shifting, as the front derailleur cage describes an arc and is therefore at a constant angle to the chain. Shifting transitions are thus more direct and precise, providing unprecedented performance when shifting up front.
