The Sora ST-R3000 shift/brake lever by Shimano - for leisure and everyday riding

The Shimano Sora ST-R3000 shift/brake lever features the STI Dual Control function familiar from Shimano's top groupsets, i.e. it can be used for 2-speed or 9-speed shifting and braking. It is aimed at leisure-oriented road cyclists, but can also be used, for example, for training in winter or for the ride to work. The improved Super SLR technology ensures optimum conversion of lever travel into braking force. A shift cable with friction-reducing Optislick coating is included.

STI Dual Control
Shimano Total Integration (STI) means the combination of braking and shifting functions in one lever, which increases safety when riding. By refining the technology, it became possible to make shifting so smooth at the front and rear that they can be triggered with just one finger. Shimano calls such levers Dual Control Levers (DCL).

New Super SLR
SLR stands for Shimano Linear Response. In its " new" version, this braking system is designed for maximum friction reduction in the brake caliper, brake lever and inner cable. This improves the brake's responsiveness and dosage.
