For lovers of mechanical disc brakes: the Avid BB7 Road

The BB7 Road is a no-compromise disc brake for riders looking for a system without hydraulics. The mechanical system is easier to adjust and maintain than a hydraulic disc brake and is also convincing in wet conditions. The set comes without brake levers and cables. These would have to be ordered separately if required.
The brake can be used both as a front wheel brake and as a rear wheel brake.

Ultimate stoping power even for heavy riders and loaded touring. Easy to mount, easy to fit, when u have some experience with bike maintenance. Brake pads do not wear out so easily. Max 2 finger braking reccomended.

Очень классные тормоза, Брал для грэвел-туринга. Удобные крутилки регулировки. Для следующего велосипеда буду такие же.

Nice stopping power from these calipers. Needs adjustment. Only 1 moving piston in the caliber.

Using them on my winterbike; their stopping power is better than expected. I'm using them with sram force shifters. On my MTB i'm using hydraulic brakes (avid XO) but these mechanical brakes ROCK. No modulation, smooth silent stopping power. (except in the rain, but that's common for disks) they brake way, way better than the sram red 2012 i'm using on my racer. The power of these BB7's is awesome. Make sure to use good cables though. Don't use the standard coil-type of outercable. They are a dream to adjust in comparison to hydraulic brakes. They need some time to break in, but after about 2-300km of riding (and some braking) they work PERFECT. Better than expected to be honest. I'm using a 160mm in front and 140mm for the rear.
