Designed in 1954, the Pinnacle silhouette takes its name from the original roll of fabric from which it was made. This well-fitting and structured cap has a flat brim that can be curved.

New Era became part of the baseball world in 1934 when the company made caps for the Cleveland Indians. The more customers the company had, the greater the determination to create the best product on the field.
In 1954, someone had an ingenious idea. The modern 59FIFTY was designed that year. Harold Koch, the son of New Era founder Ehrhardt, redesigned the well-fitting cap to give it a more contemporary, structured look. Thus the real "fitted" cap was born! It wasn't the last time New Era would made its mark on American Major League Baseball. Small changes were made in the years that followed, and in 2007 New Era revolutionized headwear performance by introducing moisture-wicking technology to give today's players more comfort.
