CNC-milled and anodised in a variety of colours, Nicolai is quite proud of these cable holders. They not only look good, but their screw connection also offers multiple technical advantages. Every weld seam and spot on the frame weakens the aluminium, as the heat generated from welding affects and changes its structure. A small weld seam on the cable holder weakens the tube only slightly, but the tube is less weakened by a small seven-millimetre drill hole with a retracted thread.
The cable guidance on Nicolai models is designed to keep cable movement at a minimum. The advantage: the sheathed wires move much less in the shift cable sheath and only emerge from the sheath much later than with normal cable holders. This means that the rear derailleur shifts longer and with greater precision.

Ich habe lange nach hochwertigen, ästhetisch ansprechenden Kabelhaltern für mein Titan-Hardtail gesucht. Da die Durchmesser der Rahmenrohre von Nicolai vergleichbar sind mit den meisten gängigen Stahl- und Titanrahmen, habe ich den Kabelhaltern eine Chance gegeben. Der Preis ist stolz für so ein kleines Stück Metall, jedoch lohnt es sich unbedingt, wenn man Wert legt auf Feinheiten und ein kompromissloses Erscheinungsbild des Bikes.
Die Kabelhalter lassen sich mit gängigen M5-Schrauben am Rahmen befestigen, halten die Kabel zuverlässig an Ort und Stelle, und sind zudem klein, leicht, dezent - und hübsch! Das man sie in verschiedenen Eloxalfarben und Varianten (2-fach, 3-fach, gekröpft, ect.) haben kann, macht sie umso vielseitiger!
