The Shimano FD-M3120-B from the Alivio series is a front derailleur for medium-high clamp mounting, which is suitable for mountain bikes with 2x9-speed drivetrains and a chainline of 51.8 mm, which is 3 mm further out. It has been equipped with the Side-Swing construction, which provides improved cable routing and smooth shifting performance with lower operating forces. In addition, there is the increased capacity of 14 teeth, which allows large chainrings with 36 teeth, and the increased clearance, which makes this front derailleur suitable for modern bikes with wide tyres, full suspension and short chainstays. FD-M3120-B is made of steel and weight-saving aluminium.
