The Deore SL-M5130 shifter by Shimano is also available in a version with a visual gear indicator, which informs you about the current gear level in an straightforward way. This is the right shifter for the Linkglide 10-speed drivetrain, which was specifically developed for e-bikes and punishing applications in the touring and MTB sector. SL-M5130 can be mounted on the right side of the handlebars using a clamp. The levers are easily accessible and easy to operate, and as with all Rapidfire Plus models, thanks to 2-Way Release technology, the shift cable can be released both by pulling with the index finger and by thumb pressure. You can always rely on the fast and defined gear changes expected from Shimano. An Optislick inner cable, which supports the function thanks to its coating, is included. Note that there is no compatibility with non-linkglide rear derailleurs due to the different cable ratio.

Rapidfire Plus
Rapidfire Plus is a type of Shimano shift lever construction that has been common in the mountain bike sector since 1985. Two levers, the main lever and the release lever, are used instead of a twist shifter. Rapidfire Plus shift levers, as the name suggests, ensure fast shifting. In addition, depending on the model, it is possible to downshift up to three gears with one shift stroke.

2-Way-Release
With 2-Way-Release, the shifter can be pressed and pulled to shift to the smaller sprocket or chainring. This allows you to adjust the shifting process to your personal preferences. Most Rapidfire Plus shifters are equipped with 2-Way Release.
