The Deore shifter SL-M6000 by Shimano - for clamp mounting, without gear indicator

The Shimano Deore SL-M6000 shifter in the clamp version is designed for 2x10-speed or 3x10-speed mountain bike shifting. It does not have an optical gear indicator. As with all Rapidfire Plus shifters, the SL-M6000 can shift down up to three gears at a time. In addition, the trigger lever can be operated both with the index finger (pulling) and with the thumb (pushing) known as the 2-Way Release function. In general, the Deore shifter convinces with its smooth, powerful index shifting performance. Its housing is made of aluminium, the two levers are made of plastic or steel. An Optislick inner cable with friction-reducing coating is included in the scope of delivery.

Rapidfire Plus
Rapidfire Plus is a type of Shimano shift lever construction that has been common in the mountain bike sector since 1985. Two levers, the main lever and the release lever, are used instead of a twist shifter. Rapidfire Plus shift levers, as the name suggests, ensure fast shifting. In addition, depending on the model, it is possible to downshift up to three gears with one shift stroke.

2-Way-Release
With 2-Way-Release, the shifter can be pressed and pulled to shift to the smaller sprocket or chainring. This allows you to adjust the shifting process to your personal preferences. Most Rapidfire Plus shifters are equipped with 2-Way Release.
