WELL THOUGHT-OUT ERGONOMICS OF THE VORTRIEB MODELL 1.2

Handlebars: Sporty yet comfortable

The alignment of a bike is also determined, among other things, by the backbend (also called backsweep or cranking) of the handlebars. Handlebars for mountain bikes usually have offsets of 5-6°, while comfortable touring handlebars can have offsets of over 45°. To emphasise the sporty and elegant style of the Vortrieb Modell 1.2, we have opted for a handlebar with a 16° backbend. For a perfect compromise between comfort and sportiness!

Grips: With an ergonomic shape

Pins and needles or pain in your hands are often a result of using the wrong handlebar grips. That's why we opted for handlebar grips from Ergon for this bike too. These counteract those typical cyclist complaints with their special shape and the enlarged hand support surface.

Pedals: Firm stand due to large, grip tape contact surface

Conventional pedals usually get their grip from metal pins that drill into the soles of the shoes. The disadvantage of this principle is that the metal pins put a lot of stress on the soles of the shoes or can even break them. Shoes with leather soles are completely out of the question for this reason. Often, however, the dress code in the office also prescribes such shoes. You'll find the solution on our Vortrieb bike. The contact surface of the Vortrieb pedals is covered with a grip tape that provides the necessary grip, just like on a skateboard. This way, no pins drill into your shoes and you can also commute to work in your leather shoes.
